FS-VDSL Official Specifications

April 10th, 2003

The Full Service-VDSL Committee announces publication of the global standardised FS-VDSL Specifications.  These ensure that multiple streams of high-quality digital video programming, high-speed data and voice services can be delivered over traditional phone lines with superior service capability to cable platforms.

Parts 2, 3 and 5 of these Specifications have been used as the basis for drafting ITU-T FS-VDSL Recommendations.

The draft Recommendations will be proposed for approval at the ITU-T Study Group 16 meeting in May 2003. Part 1 of the Specification will be proposed as a Supplement to these Recommendations.
